The Springtime Development Foundation (SDF) is a humanitarian, non-profit-making Christian, non-governmental organization. The foundation recognizes that one of the essential requirements for developing communities is to empower youths to be visionary in creating ideals that will better their life and enhance their communities. The Foundation executes Youth empowerment programs for over two decades in different parts of Nigeria. Youth empowerment remains an attitudinal, structural, and cultural process whereby young people gain the ability, authority, and agency to make decisions and implement change in their own lives and the lives of other people.
Thus, Poverty can have a devastating effect on a parent’s ability to manage and provide appropriate care for their children. Failure to support children and youth during the most vulnerable time of their life directly impacts their quality of life both directly and indirectly. Springtime Development Foundation is saddled with the commitment to empower as much youths in need as possible regardless of your demographic features.
The increasing number of deaths in Nigeria due to terror attacks, accident situations, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and a high level of unemployment has given birth to an increasing number of orphan-youth and frustrating economic conditions of some parents. This ugly circumstance affects negatively the future of the youths in Nigeria to become good citizens and consequent leaders of tomorrow.
Springtime Development Foundation is a Non- profitable organization founded with the aim to improve on the quality of life of vulnerable youths by providing them with education and welfare in a happy and nurturing environment to achieve smiling faces assured of success. We are also committed to share knowledge and expertise with the people in the Nigerian family and general community. We have developed links across Nigeria and as well aim at making an expanded vision abroad that will better the lives of Nigeria youths.
Aims and objectives
Springtime Development Foundation youth empowerment program aims at providing educational and empowerment support to vulnerable youth across Nigeria regardless of your tribe, state and religion.
Create and maintain effective networks ,students and Teacher exchange programs with local, regional and international entities which share similar core values and objectives and are committed to the cause of providing or aiding the provision of vital educational and incidental services to the youth.
To set up skills acquisition programs which will act as models to ensure youths participate and help them to be self- reliant in the areas of tailoring and fashion design, mechanic, crafts and art, leadership training skills, variety of business ideas and practice, computer training skills and more so.
The foundation is partnering with other regional or international similar entities to provide technical backstopping support to youth empowerment programs in the areas of mentoring, grooming, planning, counseling, and education.
Presently Springtime Development Foundation works in partnership with Dunamis World Missions an international organization from Loma Linda, California. Provide services in the areas of health screening/assessment, healthcare, health education, nutrition education, music ministry and counseling. Through this partnership, practical support has been provide to enhance both the physical, mental and spiritual needs of individuals in many community in Nigeria.
Engaging in research into all challenges or problems relating to the administration and operation of youth empowerment activities and placements or to collect prepare and distribute information and statistics relating to the operation and administration of youth empowerment programs and to promote or propose such methods, procedures and measures as may be considered desirable or benefits for all or any of Springtime Development Foundation objectives.
We also aim at amalgamating or enter into partnership or any arrangement for networking, union of interest, co-operation, and reciprocal concession or otherwise with any person or company carrying on or engaged in or about to carry on activities which will result into benefiting the youth empowerment programs and contribute to organizational growth.
